Schulmerich Handbells and Other Bells
Trinity owns four octaves of Schulmerich handbells, as well as two octaves of Suzuki tone chimes. The Handbell Choir enjoys a
set of large performance tables, portable rehearsal tables, Suzuki tables, a bell tree and a bell crozier.
Three tall bell staves enhance feast day processions with their joyous tintinnabulation. Each staff holds many small brass bells, collected from various countries by Joseph Pettit. The staves were custom made by Bob Perrine with design ideas from Joseph Pettit and Karen Perrine.
The three large swinging bells in the church tower are from the previous church building, and unfortunately cannot be rung because they cause structural instability in the tower. An electronic amplified chime system broadcasts church bells via a speaker system to the surrounding neighborhood.
The Steinway Grand and Other Pianos
The Steinway grand piano in the sanctuary is a gorgeous European style pre-1920 instrument. The instrument had its worn out
action replaced in 2006 by Robert Samuelson, and thereby regained its power and clarity.
A variety of other pianos are found throughout the church facilities, including the sanctuary, Thompson Hall, Fireside Room, the chapel and the music director's office.
